Recent pictures of the Beautifully Blessed Boutique are heartbreaking. The newly built location ransacked and inventory burned is tragically sad. Boutique was started in 2019. Countless women and men have enjoyed the high quality clothes, shoes and accessories offered by this business at afforable prices! Shopping from home during the live sales is fun and convenient. But the heart of this business is owner Wendy Patterson. You may know her from the Thursday lives and videos posted on the boutiques page. She models and describes items for her loyal customers. We love her grace, style, size inclusivity AND her great deals! But I want to tell you a few things about Wendy you may not know. She is the hardest working women I've ever met. All her success as a small business owner has been due to an entrepreneur spirit and astounding work esthetic. While the running the boutique (and working a full-time job), I have watched her blossom from the once shy friend I knew. With her smile and personality during the live shows, it may surprise you that life has not been easy for Wendy. In the past she has raised her son mostly as a single mother. A move to South Carolina from Pennsylvania brought a new home, new opportunities and a new church family. Always the main provider for her family, the boutique has brought in necessary income. She has thrived in the last 5 years in all areas except one. Wendy has been in a verbally and emotionally abusive relationship for over 20 years. She has tried to work things out in her marriage, she has tried counseling, forgiving, accepting and praying for change to the toxic environment she lives in. The last year has been extremely difficult as she has moved toward separation. On Saturday July 30th Wendy left her home, only to return to her house and business in ruin. Everything in the newly built boutique building destroyed. EVERYTHING. All the inventory up in smoke. Literally burnt in a pile! Clothes, Shoes, bags and accessories, items of great monetary value gone in a whirlwind of terror. The business she poured her heart and time into, gone. Not to mention her home furniture and household demolished. The marital property laws working against her situation has allowed this injustice. She has been through so much. It would be enough to make most women give up. But Wendy is too strong for that. She will build back. She will start from the bottom again. I believe in her. But I do not think she has to do this alone. Many of you are reading these words are probably like me, stirred with compassion asking: how can I help? I have started this fundraiser to raise some money for new inventory and necessary items needed for running the Beautifully Blessed Boutique. Funds will go directly into the business bank account and not into unworthy hands. Now more than ever Wendy needs the financial support of her business to take the steps needed to protect herself and her son. Any donation would be greatly appreciated and your prayers are always welcomed! Let's rally around her when she needs it most.
