לחברינו, לקהילה ולכל המאמינים בכוחו של הטוב,
שמי רז מאור.
אני כותב אליכם היום בשם המשפחה, בלב כבד, אך גם עם הבטחה גדולה.
ביום שישי, ה-26 בדצמבר 2025, עולמנו התנפץ.
אחייניתי, אביב מאור, נלקחה מאיתנו במעשה אלימות אכזרי ומתועב, ממש מחוץ לביתה בקיבוץ,
במקום שהיה אמור להיות המקלט הבטוח ביותר שלה, בתוך השקט של נופי העמק שלנו.
הייתה רק בת 18 בהירצחה.
אביב הייתה נשמה נדירה ומיוחדת.
למרות גילה הצעיר, היה לה לב ענק עם אינסוף חמלה ואהבה לכל יצור חי .
היא הייתה ילדת עמק אמיתית , מדריכה ורוכבת סוסים, מגינה על החלשים,
אוספת חיות פצועות מצידי הדרכים, והייתה שם תמיד בשביל האנשים שנזקקו לה ללא הבדל דת, גזע או לאום. החיוך המדבק שלה יישאר חקוק בליבו של אדם שזכה להכיר אותה.
בתום ימי השבעה, עמדנו לצידה בבית העלמין של הקיבוץ ונדרנו נדר:
לא ניתן לאור שלה לכבות.
אנו מקימים מצפה לזכרה של אביב, באחת מגבעות הנוף בעין חרוד, מקום שהיה אהוב עליה ביותר.. ומשקיפה אל העמק המרהיב שלנו.
המטרה שלנו היא להפוך את המקום הזה למוקד של שלווה וחיבור לטבע,
מקום שבו אנשים יוכלו להתכנס, לנשום את האוויר הצח, לשתות תה או קפה וכמו כן לשמוע על אביב בטכנולוגיה חדשנית .
"הפרויקט יקרא "מצפה אביב
וכדי להפוך את החלום הזה למציאות - ניצבת לפנינו עבודה רבה.
אנו הופכים פיסת גבעה לפנינה קהילתית.
התוכניות שלנו כוללות:
תשתיות: סלילת דרך , עבודות חפירה נרחבות להבאת מים וחשמל לאתר.
דק ופרגולה: מרפסת רחבת ידיים הפונה לנוף עוצר הנשימה של העמק.
חיים על הגבעה: מטבח חוץ מאובזר למבקרים ומערכת השקיה שתשמור על האזור ירוק ופורח.
פיתוח ונוף: גינון, עבודות אבן , פינות ישיבה ונדנדות שנועדו למנוחה והירגעות.
איך תוכלו לעזור?
אנו משקיעים את כל ליבנו וידינו בפרויקט הזה, אך לא נוכל לעשות זאת לבד.
אנו מבקשים תרומות שיסייעו בכיסוי עלויות החומרים, המיכון והבנייה.
כל תרומה, בכל סכום, היא לבנה נוספת בבניית המורשת של אביב.
אביב הקדישה את חייה לריפוי העולם, אדם וחי .

In Loving Memory of Aviv Maor: Bringing Her Light Back to the Valley
To our friends, community, and those who believe in the power of kindness,
My name is Raz Maor. I write to you today with a heavy heart, but also with a promise.
On Friday, December 26th, 2025, our world was shattered. My niece, Aviv Maor, was taken from us in a brutal act of violence just outside her home at the Kibbutz. She was only 18 years old. In a place that was supposed to be her sanctuary, the quiet countryside of our valley, her life was cut short by a senseless act of terror.
Who was Aviv?
Aviv was a rare and unusual soul. Though she was young, she lived with a depth of compassion that many don’t achieve in a lifetime. She was a true daughter of the land , a horse rider & trainer, and a guardian of the vulnerable. She was one of those to rescue injured animals from the roadsides, caring for people without judgment of race, color, or origin. If you were lucky enough to meet her, her contagious smile would stay with you forever.
Our Promise to Her:
Today, as we completed the Shiva (the seven days of grieving), we stood by her side at the Kibbutz cemetery and made a vow: We will not let her light go out.
We are building a memorial lookout on the kibbutz's hill that Aviv loved most , one of the highest point overlooking our gorgeous valley. Our goal is to transform this spot into a place of peace and connection. We want it to be a sanctuary where people can gather, breathe the fresh air, share a cup of coffee or tea, and feel the same connection to nature that Aviv loved so much.
The Project: "Aviv’s Lookout"
To make this dream a reality, we have significant work ahead of us. We are turning a rugged hillside into a community haven. Our plans include:
Infrastructure: Pave a road , Extensive trenching to bring water and electricity to the site.
The Deck & Pergula : A large wooden terrace facing the breathtaking view of the valley.
Life on the Hill: A full outdoor kitchen for visitors and an irrigation system to keep the area green and blooming.
Refinement: Landscaping, hardscaping, sitting areas and swings designed for quiet reflection and relaxation.
Monument: a memorial statue made by an artist
How You Can Help ?
We are pouring our hearts and hands into this project, but we cannot do it alone. We are seeking contributions to help cover the costs of materials, machinery, and construction. Every donation, no matter the size, is a brick in the foundation of Aviv’s legacy.
Aviv spent her life healing the world around her, from an injured animal to a smile & a good conversation to a person in her path. Help us build a place where her spirit can continue to heal and inspire others.

To ensure your donations reach the Maor family in the most secure and efficient way, we have established the following process:
Certified Oversight: All donations collected will be transferred to Chabad of Lamorinda, a registered U.S. non-profit organization (501(c)(3)) located in Lafayette, California.
Direct Support: Chabad of Lamorinda has graciously agreed to assist in transferring the funds directly to the Maor family to cover the expenses outlined above.
Tax Recognition: Your donation is tax-deductible (in accordance with U.S. law).
Ongoing Coordination: I am in constant communication with both Chabad of Lamorinda and the family to ensure that the funds are utilized effectively to meet their immediate and long-term needs.
