Building An Adaptive ATV For Amputee Veterans

Donation protected
In 2022 Team Blind quickly built a hand shifting ATV for amputee vets to race.

It started started as an idea, but quickly became a reality. As the team of three riders were able to finish a 200+ mile race.

After a year of planning and discussion, a decision was made to build a full on adaptive ATV dedicated to this team.

Welcome Project: "Cyborg"

What we have in the works is an adaptive race ready desert quad that will be built specifically for a team of amputee veterans consisting of Adam Poppenhouse, Jon Winker, and Josh Rottkamp.

This build will require many custom parts and aftermarket accessories in order to build a high performance desert racing ATV that is as safe as possible for these guys to race.

Each rider is unique in their respective adaptation and we will need to be able to suit them each as they will be racing as a team.

We have a strong base to start with. We will be utilizing a 2007 Honda TRX450ER.

All funds will be used exclusively for this build, accomodations, entry fees, and fuel.

We will be debuting this machine at the Legacy Racing Association Dirt Rebelution August 2-4, 2024.

We will be building, and testing this ATV over the next nine months, working closely with the riders and tailoring it to their specific needs.

Please consider a donation for this cause and help build a one of a kind custom adaptive ATV.
