Building a Well in Sudan for my Grandparents

Last week, over the thanksgiving holiday, my paternal grandparents both passes away due to Covid in Sudan.

My grandmother passed away Wednesday afternoon, and two days later after Maghrib prayer on Friday, my grandfather passed away. My grandfather never knew of my grandmother's death. I truly believe God spared him the grief and heartache of knowing his partner in this life had passed. They were married over 70 years and were burred right next to each other in their homeland. Subhanallah. May god rest their souls and grant them eternal paradise.

As a sadaqa jareeya, an ongoing charity, my family wants to raise money to build a well in their names to grant access to clean water to a rural community in Sudan. My parents alongside other sudanese community members started a non-profit last year dedicated to building wells in Sudan to communities who travel far to access clean water. Through this organization they have been able to build multiple wells Alhamdulilah.

We want to do the same for my grandparents and the cost is $12,000. Through this GoFundMe, we are hoping to raise this money to make this a reality. Anything helps, and inshallah your contribution can be a source of countless good deeds.
