In honour of our dear Mother we are setting up this page for people to donate as little or as much as they can to help the poor in poorer countries (Pakistan, Bangladesh, Burma, Somalia and South Sudan) with the building of water wells/water pumps, and improved hygiene and sanitation.
Water is something we take for granted, but 785 million people around the world don’t have clean water close to home. Diarrhoea caused by dirty water and poor toilets/sanitation kills a child under 5 every 2 minutes.
Depending on the amount raised it may be possible, to also contribute towards a small mosque for a small village in Africa. The reward for building a mosque is great and ongoing; for every prayer said inside a mosque you’ve helped build, Allah (SWT) (God) will reward you in Jannah/Heaven. As well as the rewards you can receive for building a mosque, the community in which you’ve built the mosque will benefit as well!
Any monies donated will be given as “sadaqah jariya” (the gift that keeps on giving) for our Mum, and for all those who donate, they will receive “swaab” (spiritual merit or reward that accrues from the performance of good deeds and piety)
Mum had a profound effect on everyone within her life. It didn’t matter even if you only had the good fortune to meet her the once, you remembered her forever.
Whatever you can donate will help someone, profoundly affecting their life for the better, continuing what our beautiful Mother believed in. “Give what you can to help those less fortunate than ourselves!”X
