In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Backstory: In November of 2020, my younger brother had abruptly passed away on a day where we were suppose to celebrate my younger sisters birthday. Siawash Samim was the most joyful, radiating and giving person to have walked this earth. When it came to charitable acts, he never thought twice. Him and my dad had discussed going to Afghanistan to visit family as well as give to the less fortunate. However, God had other plans for him. When Siawash passed away, we had discussed to honour his name through a charitable act such as building a Well. Potable water is scarce throughout poverty stricken countries which kills 1.5 million people a year. His 23d birthday falls on this blessed month which is why we thought a charitable act is the most beneficial for him and to those that want to involve themselves in sadaqah jariyah.  

The Prophet (SAWS) said the best of charity is “A drink of water”
