BUILDING A SOCCER FIELD FOR CHILDREN IN GUATEMALA

Update: We have almost arrived to the finish line! The field has been cleaned, leveled, removed of boulders and rocks, the drainage system has been implemented, the perimeter walls have been built, grass has been planted and the entrance stairs and pathways are ready and the fence is almost ready to to go up!

We are soooo close to hitting our goal and giving these children a beautiful legacy to be proud of for the rest of their lives. With just $10,000 more we secure the field with the perimeter fence, buy new goals and paint the walls. This is truly a special moment thank you for helping us reach the final GOAL!

My name is Azzurro; together with Salvatore Aurora and Shana Nasiri, we are fundraising to build a soccer field for a town filled with incredible kids in Guatemala who showed me what it means to live with joy despite life's complex challenges. These kids have no place to play, minimal education and health care resources, and grow up in the roughest conditions imaginable. Yet, they are some of the best and most enthusiastic soccer players I have ever seen! They uplifted my spirit during the dark times of the pandemic, and I would do anything to make this dream a reality for these children. A soccer field will give them a place where they can play sports and learn critical social skills while staying out of drugs and trouble. We need to raise $30,000 to reach our goal and cover the cost of constructing a new field in front of the local elementary school. Please help us improve the lives of some incredible Mayan children who have been completely forgotten about and marginalized and deserve our love and support.
