This Go Fund Me is in honor of fellow Board member Gabriela Gesteira Benjamin. Gabriela helped start Institut Sangalkam, an innovative school and teacher training institute in Senegal that will transform education for youth in the region. A beloved daughter, sister, colleague and friend, Gabi dedicated much of her time and attention to the creation of Institut Sangalkam.

Gabriela helped design the school and led the development of a robust teacher training curriculum, incorporating best practices and a global perspective. To honor Gabi, she has requested that friends support Institut Sangalkam (a non-profit organization) to propel the work she helped start.

Donations will support the operations of the school, including teacher training activities that Gabi helped develop, which will launch this summer.
