Building a Pro Music Studio for awesome people
It's a well known fact that people with a diagnosis, for instance, autism, adhd ,alzheimers, Parkinson's etc. etc. find alot of peace and quiet when they make or hear music. It's amazing how talented some of these awesome people can be! Even more when some of these guys know their lifespan is coming to an end and want to leave their loved ones and the world something from their heart, from their soul that last forever. Music does that, once it's made, it will last forever to whenever heard it and felt the message, the love and a piece of the musician's soul will always have a place to live in the memories of the beholder.
In my years as volunteer at community centers and working as electricien with and near people with a handicap, as well as my friendships with amazing musicians, I realized that it's very dificult for some people to get their creations captured and recordered on a professional level.
Music studio's aren't cheap and audio engineers are used to work fast and with people with experience. The time and experience needed to settle the uneasy minds is mostly not there, which makes it very hard an very expensive for these folks to relax and most of the time end up disapointed in the project, the music or worse, the people involved.
As a musician myself I found an amazing place, ground floor, pretty private,150m² and quite suitable to build a music studio, I took it upon myself to answer the call for a studio for those people who need all the time they need to shine! Without the stress that comes with the hourly rates and the pro audio engineers that have no clue how to work with these beautiful minds.
However, building a studio isn't cheap. Lots of time, which will mostly be covered with friends and volunteers, and money to build the studio. Acoustics, isolation and ofcourse instruments are needed. My personal studio gear will ofcourse be donated to this cause, so mixtables, computers, synthesizers and the lot will be no problem. Most of the funding will go into the buildingmaterials. Fun fact is that even building the studio will be a collab with these music loving people, if safety is assured ofcourse.
The rent and deposit of the new place, which started the end of april came out of my own pocket, which drained the last of the corona-buffer I had left. It will be great to get a financial headstart, but if not, no matter, the studio will be build, at any cost! It will only take more time. Nonetheless, every gift, no matter how small, will be welcomed with joy, huge smile and gratitude!
Even gear is more than welcome like microphones, guitars, drumsets, amplifiers etc etc. Everything will be greatly appreciated and with luck even a thank-you song will be recorded when everything is up and running thanking everybody who donated to this cause!

The picture I used for this funding is a stock-photo, I wasn't allowed to place a picture of one of my friends playing music with me in a rented studio 3 years ago. It was amazing! And a dream for him to come true. It would be great and more than awesome to make more dreams happening and give the people who have the least chance to perform and release, a chance to actually hit the charts. Who knows what might happen, perhaps the new David Byrne or Susan Doyle ;-)
