As-salamu Alaikum,

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our beloved father, Gulfaraz Khan. He returned to Allah recently, leaving behind a family and community who loved him dearly.

Losing our father has been one of the most difficult experiences of my life. During this time, we have been reminded of the importance of Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity) — deeds that continue to benefit a person even after they have passed away.

In honour of our father’s memory, we hope to raise funds towards the building of a mosque, a place where people can pray, learn about Islam, and remember Allah for generations to come. Every prayer made, every verse of Qur’an recited, and every act of worship performed there will, Insha’Allah, be a source of ongoing reward for our father.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“When a person dies, all their deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them.”

May Allah forgive his shortcomings, expand and illuminate his grave, grant him ease in the questioning, and admit him into the highest ranks of Jannah. Ameen.
