Bradley’s Promise – Supporting young people aged 16–25 with life-limiting conditions, with a special focus on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Bradley’s Promise was born from love, courage, and a determination to make a difference. Bradley was a remarkable young man who lived with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a rare and life-limiting condition. His journey exposed the huge gaps in support available to young people transitioning from children’s to adult services.
From ages 16 to 25, families face complex challenges with little guidance, often feeling abandoned by the system. After Bradley passed away, we realised that there was an urgent need for change. Bradley’s Promise was created in his memory to ensure no young person or family faces this journey alone.
Our Mission
To provide information, guidance, and emotional support to young people aged 16–25 living with life-limiting conditions — with a special focus on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy — and to support their families through every stage of the journey face to face.
Our vision is a world where every young person with a life-limiting condition — and their family — receives the care, guidance, and community support they deserve.
We are committed to:
Bridging the gap between children’s and adult healthcare services
Providing practical and emotional support to families navigating complex challenges
Creating a community network to combat isolation and offer guidance
Raising awareness of the need for better transitional care
Bradley’s Promise is inspired by personal experience and built on love, compassion, and the belief that every young person deserves dignity, support, and hope.
