Building a Home for Evan

Evan Lang is a dedicated, hard working man who cares about the people around him and always strives for excellence.  He has made enormous progress in his professional life and has quickly become a valued member of the Schools of the Sacred Heart community.  After his brief time as a security guard for the school Evan discovered a passion and talent for working with children and teachers in our school community.  He became a vital member of the After School Program transition team and during the COVID lockdown he stepped up as one of a few employees to work on campus daily to care for the children of our essential workers. Evan was then hired onto the Facilities and Maintenance team and has quickly adapted to his new responsibilities and is enthusiastically learning new skills every day.  


Evan’s home life has been in transition for a couple of years and he is working to establish financial independence. His goal is to find and maintain a permanent residence which will give him a base to develop his career and to further his passion for poetry and written composition. Evan will use the funds raised to further his writing endeavors and ultimately publish and share more of his work.


At this time we would love to help Evan move toward a more comfortable and permanent living environment by setting him up with resources to build a home for himself. We ask you to consider donating generously to a man who has given selflessly and has always been willing to step up and step into the needs of our community.

I am who I am, 5’7’’, strong minded and dark skinned. I am who I am, loving, caring, understanding.

I  am who I am, that person willing to help his fellowman, the first to lend a hand.

I am who I am, a simple person, a friend, a man.
