United We Stand operates a 100% donation policy, meaning every penny donated is given to the cause directly.

Our mission this Ramadan is to provide all inclusive healthcare to new mothers in Bangladesh. The aim of this project is to provide a full package maternal care unit to expecting mothers who cannot afford this.

Giving birth safely should be a basic necessity in life but for many women around the world this is not the reality. United We Stand aims to provide support from the early stages of pregnancy, the safe delivery of the newborn and after care to both mother and child.

We want to make a difference by building a maternity hospital in South Badeswar, Goulapgonj, Sylhet, Bangladesh. The village hosting the proposed hospital has limited access to health care, especially to the poor who are unable to travel to the city to seek medical assistance.

Our partners have purchased the land and the building work is proposed to begin after Ramadan Inshallah. The building will host 6 floors, where midwife, nurse and doctors will provide essential care to pregnant and new mothers.

In Bangladesh, maternal mortality is the third leading cause of death among women ages 15-49. Most of these deaths could be prevented by high quality prenatal care and skilled attendance during labor and delivery. Bangladesh loses approximately 7,660 women each year from preventable causes related to pregnancy and childbirth.
