Build 2 Beach Volleyball Courts at Gables High

We are raising money to build 2 beach volleyball courts at Gables High School.

South Florida needs MORE Beach Volleyball Courts! If we can raise the money in May and June, we can do the construction in July! Please help us!

Reasons to build these courts now

Scholarships and College Opportunities: With the growing popularity of beach volleyball, more colleges and universities are offering scholarships to student-athletes who excel in the sport. Establishing a girls' beach volleyball team at Gables High School can provide our students with additional opportunities to earn scholarships and pursue higher education.

Health Benefits: Training and playing on sand surfaces offer numerous health benefits. Sand is a low-impact surface, which reduces the risk of injuries by absorbing shock and supporting joints and muscles. Additionally, sand training helps to build strength, balance, and agility, as it requires more effort to move and jump on sand compared to harder surfaces.

Cross-Training Opportunities: Beach volleyball can serve as an excellent cross-training activity for athletes involved in other sports at Gables High School. The cardiovascular, strength, and agility benefits of playing beach volleyball can transfer to improved performance in other sports, such as basketball, soccer, and track and field.

Community Engagement: The addition of beach volleyball courts will create a unique recreational space for students and the local community. It will provide opportunities for friendly competitions, events, and fundraisers, fostering a sense of pride and togetherness within the Gables High School community.
