BUILD THEM BACK: Asher family needs our support

On October 7th, 2023, an unspeakable terror attack shook the core of Israel and good people worldwide, leading to Doron (34), Aviv (2.5) and Raz (4.5) being held hostage for 48 harrowing days. During this time, they faced horrors that are beyond words. The tragedy decimated their home, took away beloved members of their close-knit family and community through murder or kidnapping, with many still in captivity.

Finally freed on November 24th, 2023, Doron, Aviv and Raz now face the long, challenging journey of healing from the deep-seated trauma that will, unfortunately, be a part of their lives forever.

This fund is a beacon of hope dedicated to supporting these brave souls in their quest for healing and rebuilding their shattered lives. Every dollar raised will provide a lifeline of mental and physical support — covering housing, nourishment, clothing, and other essential needs — in the days, months, and years to come as they strive to regain a semblance of normalcy.

About the family

Doron was kidnapped with her two daughters, Aviv (2) and Raz (4.5), while they were visiting Efrat Katz, Doron’s mother, in kibbutz Nir Oz. Efrat tragically lost her life on October 7th. Further compounding the sorrow, Doron's brother, Ravid, and Efrat’s partner, Gadi Mozes, continue to endure the grim reality of captivity.

Yoni, Doron’s husband and father to Aviv and Raz didn’t join the visit to the kibbutz. He was able to locate his wife’s phone inside Gaza and later on recognized his wife and daughters in a video.
