Build The King's House, a community of change for young men

My name is Sophie and I am starting a charity for young men aged 24-35 to make a fresh start. It is called The King's House. I struggled without my father in my life and ended up making bad choices and hurting myself until someone introduced me to Jesus and my life was radically changed. My own son has also grown up without his father fully in his life and has himself struggled with addiction. The King's House wants to commit to breaking this cycle and restore young men to their proper place of dignity and honour with hope for the future.

The King's House is a vision from God in response to a crisis. The issue of fatherlessness is a worldwide crisis and can leave a lasting negative impact. Many fatherless children seek validation, love, and belonging in unhealthy places, such as toxic relationships, substance abuse, or risky behaviours.

The King’s House will offer a 12 month residential program within a transformative environment for young men seeking to rediscover themselves. It is a place where they can experience love, support, and accountability within a family environment.

In the face of the epidemic of lost young men, The King’s House exists to offer a powerful, Christ-centered solution. Through God’s love and restoration, it provides a path to a new life, addressing the deep wounds of fatherlessness, rejection, and lost identity.

Whether a young man is leaving rehab, coming out of prison, leaving the army or struggling with life, The King's House will offer hope, support, love through mentoring, coaching and living in community.

This project is in its infancy and we are fundraising to acquire a site and employ staff.

The pillars of the residential program will focus on HEALTH, WEALTH, SELF, OTHERS, HABITS and FAITH. These areas will be the core of the 12 month residential program supporting life change.

Our vision is to see men restored and released through the power of Jesus, supported through community, mentoring, training, and holistic support. The King’s House will equip men to reclaim their purpose and identity, preparing them to return to their neighbourhoods as agents of transformation.

At The King’s House, we hold firmly to the truth that all of God’s children have equal value. Regardless of background, past choices, or current circumstances, every man is seen, loved, and cherished by the Father. The King’s House is open to any man who is ready and prepared to commit to a new direction, ready to step away from the brokenness of the past to find hope and new life.
