Hi, I’m Alejandro Patterson, and I’m passionate about creating real change for communities in need. Having seen the resilience of families in La Carpio, Costa Rica, I’m committed to helping those who live in unimaginable conditions find safety and hope.
The Mission
We’re raising $55,000 AUD by 31st of May 2025 to help ten families escape the most dangerous part of La Carpio, Costa Rica. These families live at the base of cliffs where, during heavy rains, waterfalls form behind their homes, dislodging trees and rocks that put their lives at risk. Our goal is to relocate them to a safer area and provide secure, dignified housing to create bright, integrated futures for the parents and children in these families.
We will use these funds to build 10 homes on a piece of land we are also raising money for in a separate fundraiser.

The conditions these families endure are horrific and life-threatening. By relocating them and providing safe, stable homes, we’re not just offering shelter—we’re giving them a chance to thrive, free from constant fear and danger.
