Hi, My name is Stephen.
I am setting on a mission to build an animal sanctuary in Ireland for the urgent care of dogs in need in Ireland and around the world should they make their way here. I will be welcoming all animals that need housing and rehabilitation once we are up and running with a location and space.
Some of you will know that the dog world has been turned upside down over the last few years, not just in Ireland, but in many many countries around the globe. And I want to make a positive difference to all involved, animals, volunteers, owners, communities. I will look to bring all these together in my journey!
Cassie is my late dog who passed in June 2022 . She is the girl who taught me so many lessons in life!
Cassie left me with a burning desire to do more for the ones that can't! Cassie was one of a kind, and all animals are. I am now on the path to helping the ones that need it.
This is the first physical step I have taken to start the journey. My goal is to create a sanctuary for all animals in need. What it will take to turn this vision into reality is a lot, but I believe we can do it.
Over the next few weeks, I will be registering the name "Cassie Borwick Foundation," and I aim to start raising funds to help bring the Sanctuary to life.
The aim is to acquire land somewhere to house the animals and start working asap.
Fear has been holding me back for quite some time, and it is definitely outside my comfort zone, thinking of the next steps, recording videos on social media to create awareness, etc. We have started tho which is all that matters and now we start our journey in raising funds.
I will be organising fundraisers over the next few months to raise as much funds as possible to drive the mission forward.
