Help Build Shelters for Stray Cats – Eagle Scout Project

Hi, my name is Samuel Tamayo, and I’m a Life Scout with Troop 273 in Myersville. For my Eagle Scout project, I’m working to support a local stray and feral cat colony in Middletown, MD. by building and installing weatherproof shelters to give these cats a safe, dry, and warm place to live especially during the cold and rainy months.

Middletown has a growing population of stray and abandoned cats that rely on the kindness of volunteers for food, care, and shelter. Many of these animals live outdoors with no protection from the elements. By constructing durable, insulated cat shelters, I hope to make a real impact on their well-being and support the efforts of local animal advocates who care for them.

What Your Donation Will Support:

Materials for 15+ outdoor cat shelters (plastic boxes, insulation, pipe)

Tools and hardware

Ground pads or straw for added warmth

Transport and installation supplies

This project will also serve to educate the community about responsible pet care and the importance of spaying/neutering to control the stray cat population.

Every dollar helps! All funds raised will go directly toward materials and supplies. Any extra funds will be donated to local animal rescue organizations.
