Shahid Husain was a Jeep Driver. He got married at the age of 26 in 2015 to Zoriya Bibi. He had simple dreams, wanted to build his own house and provide his two children with the best of opportunity to excel in the life. I met Shahid this eid and he showed his intention to relocate to Naran Valley (a tourist destination) for the summer season. He expected to make $20 per day as a tourist driver. He was hoping to earn enough during the season to lay the roof of his newly constructed house.

However, things didn’t go according to plan. On 4th of July (this month), 2018 he died in a road accident in Naran Valley. He was able to save the other passengers when Jeep got out of his control by hitting the Jeep on rugged mountain on his own side.
Shahid's Vehicle after the AccidentShahid is dead now. What next for the family of Shahid?

Shahid’s young wife will struggle now. She is only young. She has the responsibility to take care of his 4 month old son and 2.5 years daughter. Life will be tough. It will be a struggle to feed her young ones.
Shahid's Father with his sonTheir new house will remain roof less for years to come as she would need at least 3500$ to complete the construction, an amount she won’t even imagine having without any earning source. She knows that good education for her children will only be a far off dream. She knows that she will have to depend on ‘others’ to feed her. It is all evident through her eyes.

Hello Quora!
I would like to announce the successful end of the campaign to Build Shahid's Family a Home.
Thanks to your donations and support through this campaign, we were able to accomplish all of the major goals of this campaign!
The situation for Shahid's family is as follows:
- As mentioned previously, the roof for Shahid's home has been completed, giving his family a complete structure for their home (4 walls, a roof, a door). They now have a safe home where they can live.
- With the latest donations, a kitchen/living space has been fully prepared allowing Zoryia (Shahid's wife) and her children live and cook safely indoors. I will post the pictures of this space as soon as they are available.
- Zoriya's extended family is taking responsibility for her regular living expenses such as food and clothing.
Ahsan and I would like to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts, and would like to further express our gratitude to all of you who have donated, shared, or supported this campaign in any way.
Because of your kindness and generosity, a family who had lost their breadwinner can now live in a safe home.
Although this situation was truly tragic, it was also beautiful, in that the goodness of humanity was continually shown throughout the campaign. Such is life; it is truly by supporting each other during our times of hardship that we can really be human.
It gives me great hope for the world and humanity to see how all of you supported Shahid's family during this tragedy.
Lastly, I would like to apologize for the lengthy delay in updating all of you. I hope that did not cause any concern. Neither Ahsan or I do this full time, or even regularly. Both of us are students. We took up this cause for the same reason many of you donated: we knew Shahid's family needed urgent help. To that end, we tried to our very best at every stage of the project.
I thank you all once again for your support for Shahid's family.
