Please help Build our Sanctuary to save more lives

my name is Nicole

After spending a few years in rescue. I identified an urgent need for a foster sanctuary.

January 2023 I set out to start Brisbane’s first of its kind foster sanctuary.

2 years later, this has not come easy, we landed on 11 beautiful acres between Gold Coast & Brisbane.

6 months in to our new property we are forced to become bigger than we anticipated for the time line we planned 12 months later.

We are a new born registered not for profit.

One foot in front of the other, we still have formality’s to follow.

Still to register with the ACNC charity commission bank account set up lastly.

until this is final

we cannot get any assistance … of any kind right now.

Council issues are moving faster than we can keep up right now.

We have the support of our mayor and local council who are working hard to grant extensions on a compliance due to incorrect information.

Our only step from here is to apply for an animal keeping permit (change of use on property)

big council fees and town planners fees

council fee 13909 (hopeful for a discount )

town planner 8000 (hopeful for a discount)

we need 3 containers to modify as kennels for approval of the DA application. (sponsorship would be very welcomed)

While we can cover some of this

we simply can’t do it all …

We Absolutely need The community’s help to keep our dogs on track to forever.

What would this mean for our sanctuary ?

a safe secure home for our pound dogs to decompress, have all needs met. Find a forever, not forced or unsafe, through our exciting community programs.

safe ethical rehoming while helping a community member.

What this will mean if we loose this ?

over 20 dogs needing homes immediately. board is not an option as it will cost thousands weekly.

Dogs that we have worked tirelessly with to gain trust will be once again trauma filled if they loose this stability.

“Just re home” is not an option.

Homes are NOT available with the current crisis of unwanted dogs, people rehoming due to housing crisis.

Our plan is to provide a safe secure sanctuary.

People can meet, spend time and build a relationship with our dogs before a straight out commitment to see if it’s a right fit for both dog & person/family.
