As’Salāmu Alaikum wa Rahmatullāhi wa Barakātuh,

Alhamdulillah, over the summer we had the pleasure of visiting Nairobi, Kenya. In a small local community in Rongai, there is a humble Masjid that serves as the heart of worship and unity for the residents. Masjid Al Rahma. However, the Masjid currently stands without a surrounding wall, leaving it exposed and vulnerable.

We are raising funds to build a protective wall around the Masjid. This will help safeguard the house of Allah and provide a peaceful, secure space for prayer, Qur’an study, and community gatherings.

If we surpass our target, in shā’Allāh, the extra funds will go towards improving the Masjid’s facilities — such as repairing its structure or enhancing the prayer area.

Your contribution — no matter the amount — is a Sadaqah Jāriyah (ongoing charity) that continues to bring you reward for as long as people benefit from it.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.”

(Sahih al-Bukhari, 450; Sahih Muslim, 533)

And Allah ﷻ tells us in the Qur’an:

“The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] that sprouts seven ears; in every ear there are a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills.”

(Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:261)
