Support Jamaica After Hurricane Melissa
Hello friends and supporters, my name is Shanice Moore and as someone born and raised in Jamaica, this event has greatly impacted the lives of many Jamaicans home and abroad.
As many of you know, Hurricane Melissa has deeply affected communities across Jamaica—especially those on the South of the island. Homes have been damaged, families displaced, and many are now struggling to meet their most basic needs.
While the government has launched an official relief program, it may take time for aid to reach these harder-to-access communities. For that reason, I’m stepping forward to organize direct support for families in my area who need immediate help.
In December, I will be travelling to Jamaica to personally assist with relief efforts. Every donation will go directly toward:
Packing barrels with essential food items, blankets, and clothing
Purchasing zinc sheets and tarps to provide temporary shelter and roofing materials
Helping families restart their lives with basic supplies and small grants to rebuild what was lost
Your contribution—no matter the size—will make a real and immediate difference in someone’s life.
