Help Me Build JD’s Bridge of Hope for Families in Need

Hello, everyone! My name is Amy Davis, and I’ve dedicated the last eight years to working with the Medicaid Waiver program. Over this time, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges families face in navigating complex systems, advocating for services, and finding providers who truly prioritize their loved ones’ well-being.

That’s why I’m starting JD’s Bridge of Hope, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting families of individuals with intellectual disabilities. Our mission is to educate, empower, and connect families to the resources they deserve, while also providing honest, compassionate, and transparent Waiver services.

What We Aim to Do

Educate families about the Medicaid Waiver and Waiver Waitlist.
Provide guidance on:
How to navigate PASSEs (Provider-Led Arkansas Shared Savings Entities).
Advocate for services that enhance the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
Offer ethical, transparent services to families, ensuring they’re treated with respect and dignity.
Support our staff with fair pay, honesty, and accountability, avoiding the pitfalls of corruption that too often plague this field.

Why We Need Your Help

Launching a nonprofit requires resources, and we’re asking for $20,000 to help us take the first step toward creating JD’s Bridge of Hope. Here’s how your donations will be used:

Nonprofit Setup and Administrative Costs ($5,000)

Filing fees for 501(c)(3) nonprofit status and business licensing.
Basic office supplies, communication tools, and operational software.

Educational and Outreach Resources ($3,000)

Development of materials to educate families about Medicaid Waiver and PASSEs.
Hosting free workshops and informational events to empower families.
Creation of a user-friendly website to share resources and updates.

Initial Staff Support ($10,000)

Providing fair wages to care providers at $15/hour as 1099 contractors.
Offering training and onboarding for staff to ensure high-quality service.

Emergency Support and Miscellaneous Needs ($2,000)

Assisting families facing urgent challenges while we build our long-term capacity.
Covering unexpected expenses as we grow.

Our Inspiration

JD’s Bridge of Hope is dedicated to Grady Welch, the strongest little boy I’ve ever known. His story, along with countless others, fuels my passion for creating a support system that families can trust.

I believe every family deserves a partner who fights alongside them, not against them. With your help, we can turn this vision into a reality, ensuring that no family feels alone or overwhelmed when navigating care for their loved ones.

How You Can Help

Any amount, big or small, makes a difference. Whether it’s $5, $50, or simply sharing our mission with your network, your support will help us take the first steps toward creating JD’s Bridge of Hope.

Together, we can make sure families no longer have to fight tooth and nail for the services they need.

Thank you for believing in this mission. Your generosity is a bridge of hope for countless families across Arkansas.

With gratitude,
Amy Davis
