آلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

We are fundraising to build a water well as a form of sadaqah jariyah for Muhsin (Iffat) Hussain - a bright, talented, and caring 21-year-old who is currently on life support.

Sadaqah Jariyah means a continuous, flowing and ongoing charity. It is one of the most rewarding acts we can do in our lives as the benefits of giving this type of charity can be reaped in this lifetime and long after we have passed.

It was narrated by Sa'd ibn Ubadah:

Sa'd asked: Messenger of Allah, Umm Sa'd has died; what form of sadaqah is best? He replied: Water (is best). [Sunan Abi Dawud 1681]

Sierra Leone/Malawi/ Uganda are some of the poorest countries in the world, many communities, especially in rural areas, do not have access to clean, safe water and rely on unsafe sources. A water well in one of these countries would be truly life-changing.

Please keep Muhsin in your duas. May Allah grant him full shifa, good health and long life. Please keep his mother in your duas - may Allah grant her patience and strength during this hard time.
