Hi there!

For those who may not know me, my name is Scarlett, and in November 2025, I had the life changing opportunity to volunteer in the rural village of Bukomansimbi, Uganda.

While there, I met an amazing man named Heavens. Heavens was the leader at the primary school I volunteered at. I saw how much of an important figure Heavens was in the lives of the children at the school - far more than just an educator, Heavens was an anchor for the students, many of whom had vulnerable backgrounds and may not have continued going to school if it wasn’t for Heavens.

However, in Heavens’ local village, many of the children are unable to attend school, and education centres are few and far between, leaving the children without a place to fuel their passion for learning, to fulfil their ambition of being a pilot, a scientist, an engineer, to simply be a child without worrying about poverty and providing for their families.

From scratch, he is building a new school which, to start, will house 40 students - 40 young lives that can forever be changed thanks to your donations.

Heavens is putting all of the small finances he has towards cement, beds, bricks, construction fees, and everything else that will be needed to make the school flourish, but needs urgent help to make his dreams of giving back to his local area a reality.

In the West, we take going to school for granted - we know there will be an education centre nearby with teachers waiting for us with adequate resources - the children in Heaven’s village do not have this luxury, but they deserve access to safety and learning just like any other child.

All donations will go straight to Heavens and the development of the school, giving vulnerable children a place to relax, to smile, to be tomorrow’s voices for Uganda.
