Help Rusty Give Millie and Sadie the Safe FURever Home They Deserve ❤️
When I first started as a bellman at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center, I had no idea that two adorable pups would transform my job. From the very first day, Millie and Sadie stole my heart with their wagging tails and gentle spirits. What began as a happy surprise quickly became one of the greatest joys of my work—these sweet girls filled every shift with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love. They made my days brighter and more meaningful, and the smiles they brought to guests and colleagues were pure magic. Watching weary travelers light up at the sight of them reminded me daily of the simple power of kindness and connection.
After 10 wonderful years as the beloved Concierge at Hilton Milwaukee City Center, our friend Rusty is beginning a new chapter. For a decade, Rusty has been the heart of the hotel—welcoming guests with his warm smile, going above and beyond to make every stay special, and most famously, introducing the world to his two adorable “Puppy Concierges,” Millie and Sadie. These two sweet girls stole the hearts of thousands of guests, locals, and the hundreds of airline flight crews from Southwest, Delta, Endeavor, and United who regularly stay at the hotel.
Families asked for them by name, photos of the pups made the hotel famous for its special charm, and local news stations like TMJ4 celebrated the joy they brought to everyone who walked through the doors. Millie and Sadie weren’t just pets—they were part of the Hilton Milwaukee family, spreading wags, smiles, and comfort to travelers far from home.
Now, a beautiful opportunity has come Rusty’s way: the family home has become available in Ohio. It’s a chance for him to start fresh and build a peaceful life. But there’s one big challenge standing in the way of a happy ending for the girls. The new house has no fence.
Without a secure yard, Millie and Sadie can’t safely play and run outside like they love to do. Rusty wants nothing more than to give them the freedom and safety they deserve in their forever home. A proper, high-quality fence for the yard will cost around $12,000—a big number for one person making this transition.
This is where we hope the same community that fell in love with Rusty, Millie, and Sadie will step in and help. Every donation—big or small—will go directly toward building a safe, loving outdoor space for these two special pups. In return, you’ll be helping a man who spent ten years making other people feel at home finally give his own furry family the home they deserve. Rusty has given so much to so many. Now it’s our turn to give a little back. From the bottom of our hearts—thank you. Whether you donate, share this page, or just send good wishes, it all means the world.
Let’s give Millie and Sadie the safe yard they need so they can keep wagging through the next chapter with Rusty.
Update: Local news stations will be sharing Rusty’s story before he leaves Milwaukee. Feel free to tag them and help spread the word!
Thank you for being part of this feel-good story. ❤️
