Build a Perth Dive Site water monitoring network

Donation protected

We are raising money to help build a Water Quality monitoring network in the Perth Metro Region, Being one of the first monitoring networks designed and built by Divers we intend on using this for predictive and real-time water turbidity sensing

This means, You can check your dive site before even leaving the house, See the water conditions, Temperature and visibility.

We will also be designing comparison pages gathering information such as swell, rainfall, wind speed and other environmental stats.

We require finding to help pay for these sensors to be built. They will be designed in-house in Western Australia. Mitch works in the communications industry and has a wealth of experience in IoT Devices, Remote monitoring, Asset Tracking, Electronics and Radio communications and often attends social dives.

Funds will go to purchasing of the electronics required to assemble these devices and deploy them by the community.

This network will be the first of its kind in the world, Designed by the community and accessible freely by the community. We will provide all the telemetry information to the community via an accessible website to the dive community.

We will use the Narrowband IoT Network that covers well in excess of 100kms from the Perth coastline, We will also be using LoRa Technology for remote sensors.

The platform is based off the ESP32 and STM32 Platforms, Solar powered and powered by two 18650 Batteries.
