Hi, my name is Abbey and I am on a mission to open a brand new Community Interest Company (CIC). A new nature-based, outdoor learning community that provides autonomous, child-led educational and well-being experiences for children, young people and their families.
Many users of our services are those who are home educating, flexi-schooling, educated otherwise than at school or in that awkward, unsure phase. Most have struggled with the modern school challenges and need gentle, Earth-connecting experiences to rebuild their self-confidence and self-worth.
What will we offer?
- A broad and enriching nature-based learning curriculum that focuses on the child and their natural curiosities
- Safe, nurturing environment for children to be free
- Food forest and raised bed planting to grow own food
- Hands-on skills development such as woodwork, weaving, outdoor cooking, foraging etc
- Community and family gatherings to build connections
- Expert-led skills workshops
- School collaboration projects for at-risk children
- and so much more along the way!
What will use your donations for:
We are raising money to help us kickstart this project, funds would be used for any registration fees, purchasing of equipment such as a bell tent or yurt, outdoor learning equipment, outdoor sensory area equipment, plants and gardening resources, learning resources, and so much more!
