On the authority of Abu Hurairah (ra) that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, ‘When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (a continuous charity), or knowledge from which benefit is gained, or a righteous child who prays for him’. (Muslim)

Today, we are raising funds in memory of Ayoub Mohamed, who was kidnapped and murdered in March of 2020.  We are deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved Ayoub. Even after a year, we are still grappling with the saddness that comes with losing a loved one .  

Everyone who knew Ayoub knew what a kind and loving soul he was. He touched the lives of everyone he met simply because of his amazing character. He was admired by everyone, and his loss was felt by many. 

Ayoub’s favourite sport was basketball and he aspired to become a professional basketball player. His short lived career in pursing professional basketball included a memorable trip to Africa where he played amongst his peers. He inspired and continues to inspire so many to pursue their passions and reach for the stars. 

 Ayoub held many great traits, and among them is how lovingly protective he was. He truly took pride in protecting those he loved. His relationship with his family and friends were very important to him, and he never failed to show how much he cared and adored them. As one can only imagine, his presence is truly missed.

To honor Ayoub’s memory, we are setting up this fund in order for him to benefit from a continuous, and ongoing charity. With your donation, we intend to build a mosque in a small village in East Africa. This small village is in desperate need of a mosque and it will be a huge benefit to them Insh’Allah. 

Please keep Ayoub in your prayers. May Allah SWT raise his ranks in Jannah and grant his family and friends Sabr and Eman. We pray that Allah SWT accepts all of our du'aas for Ayoub and may we all be reunited in Jannah Insha Allah.  Ameen.
