In Loving Memory of My Grandparents – A Sadaqah Jariyah for Generations to Come

My grandparents dedicated their lives to faith, family, and serving their community in Sheowla, Bangladesh. They lived with humility, generosity, and unwavering trust in Allah. They have now returned to their Lord, but their love, values, and impact remain deeply rooted in our hearts.

Today, I am raising funds to build a mosque in Sheowla, Bangladesh on their behalf — a house of Allah that will stand as a continuous charity (Sadaqah Jariyah) for them, Insha’Allah.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

“When a person dies, all their deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them.” (Muslim)

We pray this mosque becomes that ongoing charity for them — a place where prayers are performed, Qur’an is recited, children learn their deen, and hearts find peace for generations to come.

Allah reminds us in the Qur’an:

“The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven ears; in every ear is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills.” (Qur’an 2:261)

And He says:

“Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over?” (Qur’an 2:245)

Building a mosque is one of the most powerful forms of Sadaqah Jariyah. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

“Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house like it in Paradise.” (Bukhari & Muslim)

We are especially striving to complete this project during the blessed month of Ramadan — a month in which rewards are multiplied beyond measure. The Prophet (peace be upon him) was the most generous of people, and he was even more generous in Ramadan (Bukhari).

Allah tells us:

“The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.” (Qur’an 97:3)

Imagine contributing even a small amount during Ramadan — and having that reward multiplied countless times. Imagine every prayer prayed in this mosque, every sajdah made, every verse recited, being written in your scale and in the scale of my grandparents.

Sheowla is a community rich in faith. This mosque will serve elders, youth, and future generations — a place of unity, learning, and remembrance of Allah.

No donation is too small. Whether you give the cost of a brick, a prayer mat, a window, or more — every contribution builds not just walls, but reward that continues long after we return to our Lord.

Please donate, share, and make du’a for my grandparents. May Allah forgive them, grant them Jannatul Firdaus, expand their graves with light, and accept this mosque as a means of elevation for them in the Hereafter.

“And whatever you spend of good — it will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged.” (Qur’an 2:272)
