THE LAND FOR THE MAYAGÜEZ MASJID HAS BEEN AQUIRED ALHAMDULILLAH. WITH THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH WE'LL COMMENCE CONSTRUCTION IN 2026.

We are launching this GoFundMe campaign to raise funds to build a Masjid and Islamic Community Center in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, as sadaqah jariyah (continuous charity) on behalf of the deceased parents and brother of Mutah Beale and Mumin Beale.

This masjid will serve as a lasting source of reward for our parents and a permanent benefit for the Muslim community in Puerto Rico, Insha'Allah.

Currently, there is no fully established masjid in Mayagüez, which creates hardship for Muslims living, working, and studying in the area. Families must travel long distances to attend Jumu’ah prayers, Islamic classes, and community gatherings. Our goal is to establish a welcoming, permanent space for worship, education, and unity.

This masjid will provide:

• Daily prayers and Jumu’ah services

• Qur’an education and Islamic studies

• Youth programs and family activities

• Support for new Muslims

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

“When a person dies, their deeds come to an end except for three: continuous charity (sadaqah jariyah), beneficial knowledge, and a righteous child who prays for them.” (Muslim)
