Every day, we see the reality of what wildlife faces—injury, illness, abandonment, and increasing pressure from the world around them. At Kent Wildlife Rescue Service (KWRS), we step in when animals have nowhere else to go.

From tiny orphaned hedgehogs to injured foxes and exhausted seabirds, and even tiny garden birds to birds of prey needing urgent care—we do everything we can to give them a second chance. Each animal that comes through our doors matters, and our aim is always to rehabilitate and release them back into the wild where they belong. With the support of highly skilled vets, we’re able to provide specialist care tailored to each animal’s needs.

Thanks to the dedication of our team and supporters, we care for over 600 animals every year. But demand is growing, and we are now reaching the limits of what our current, makeshift facilities can safely support.  Thanks to amazing support, we’ve been able to start this build—but we need your help to finish it and to equip it. 

That’s why we are building something better.

We are creating a purpose-built wildlife care facility—one that will include an isolation unit, separate bird and mammal wards, and dedicated rehabilitation areas. This will allow us to work more efficiently, improve outcomes, and help even more animals in need.
