Build a Library, Spark a Future: Support GHPS Rural School

Hi! We’re Danish and Soha, siblings trying to make a difference.

We started this fundraiser to support GHPS Uppinapattan, a small government school in rural Uttara Kannada, Karnataka, India, that serves students from Grades 1 to 7. The school has been around since 1870, but it still lacks many of the basic learning tools today’s students need.

When we learned about the school's situation, we felt the need to take action. So far, we’ve donated 2 bookshelves and a couple of books to help start a library space. But that’s just the beginning; we want to do more, and we need your help.

What This Fundraiser Will Do

Our goal is to set up a library and digital learning corner inside the school so that these kids, many of whom come from under-resourced rural families, can:

• Read age-appropriate books in Kannada and English

• Use laptops to explore basic computer skills and online learning tools

• Study in a welcoming space with proper tables and chairs

Why It Matters

Right now, these students:

• Don’t have access to a library

• Have never used a computer

• Study in classrooms with very limited learning materials

This small step will open up new possibilities for over 100 children, helping them gain confidence, creativity, and curiosity—all of which are essential for success in school and in life.

This will cover:

• 2 Laptops

• Tables & Chairs

• Books & Learning Materials
