Build a House for a Haitian Mom
Donation protected
This past year, a friend and I visited a village in Haiti with an organization called IV Hope for Haiti (IVH4H). While assesing the possiblity of bringing a group of students back on a mission trip, we met a single mom with 7 children aging from infant to early teens. She lives in a 1 room mud/clay house that is falling apart and does not withstand the weather. With her recent connection with IVH4H, a team came to build her a chicken coupe to help with food. After the chickens died of disease, she bagan using it for storage and for some of her kids to sleep in. We decided to take a mission trip with 3 adults and 9 students, and have been given an opportunity to build them a house. Though this is only a small way that we can give to this community, our hope is that it would create bonds between this organization and the entire community this woman lives in. The entire cost for the materials and the building will be $5,000. If we are able to raise this amount before February 15, 2017, the team will have the privilege of building the house during our mission trip (February 15-22). Please prayerfuly consider donating an amount of any kind to help us reach this goal. Thank you in advance for your donation and/or prayers.
