Assalamualaikum,
I hope you and your family are well and are enjoying Ramadan.
Thanks to everyone’s generosity, with the donations from our last fundraiser we were able to create a home for our uncle. He is now in a home that is more stable and secure with a shelter over his head but more importantly for his children and his wife. It really made us think how blessed we are to have given him this happiness and all it took was a little something from everyone.
With this, we thought this year who else could we help that is in dire need. Our uncle in Bangladesh had passed a year ago, leaving behind his wife and children. When my uncle was alive, he was never a person to ask for anything, regardless of how little means he had. His death was very unfortunate and unforeseen, he was attacked by a snake when he went to farm for rice. This unfortunately led to his passing.
Now his widow and children have nothing, they live in a tin shelter along with their goats that stay on one side and themselves on the other. No one would believe this unless they have witnessed this for themself - I can say that I have and it is deeply upsetting. The state of the home is atrocious, filled with the smell of goats and humans is unimaginable.
Therefore, I have pledged to create a home for my uncles widow and their young children, a home they do not need to share with their goats, a home they can lay without the horrid smell or holes where foxes come through in the middle of the night.
I ask from you all, if you could donate any little or as much as you can to help fund for the home. I believe with only £1200 we can use this to create a solid foundation with at least a tin roof to help house them. I have faith that with all your efforts and dua that this goal can be achieved. Insha Allah by the end of Ramadan, I can share the good news with my uncles wife and children, giving them a new home, separate to their goats.
I request from you all to take a short moment and make dua for my uncle, may Allah grant him Jannah’tul Ferdous , broaden his grave and fill it with light Insha Allah, Ameen.
As always I am ever so grateful and appreciate all the donations.
Jazakallah, Asslamualaikum.
Malik.
