For nearly two years, a life-changing diagnosis left me unable to do even the simplest things on my own. I had to rely on others and medical support in ways i never imagined. That experience reshaped me. It humbled me and reminded me how much of being able to care for myself is so much of a blessing.
Caring for a person with special needs has always been a part of my life and i take pride in stepping up where i am needed. Losing that ability for so long was one of the heardest parts of my journey. During that time i learned of a school that is in dire need and so much of it is actually basic needs such as food, shelter and water, and i could not even help them. That feeling has stayed with me and i am asking you all for help.
Hence, this year for the first time i am reaching out on behalf of Christ-The King Special School in Maktau, Kenya. The school sits near a national park and currently has no protective fence. Due to the lack of enough resources such as enough workers apart from teachers, at times, students will wander leaving them unprotected and the school remains vulnerable to safety risks. In addition to building a secure fence, the school urgently needs support to improve food security for its students.
I am asking for your help-not for myself, but for these children who deserve safety, nourishment, and the chance to learn for a better future.
To everyone who has donated, shared, or simply taken the time to read this story, i truly appreciate you from the bottom of my heart. Your kindness makes a real difference. Thank you again.
If you need to learn more about the school and other ways to donate, please reach out.
