Build a device to enable mute people to speak!

Donation protected
I have seen how limiting it is for people who do not have a voice. These range from deaf-dumb from birth to people who have suffered from throat cancer or lost their vocal cords through accidents.

I believe that someone has to look into this and create a small device that everyone without a voice can use to speak with, being different from the crude business of having to type words into a computer and then get them to speak the phrase. That is so slow and cumbersome, it is barely adequate at all. What I want to do is allow people without a voice to converse with normal-voiced people in real-time. And sing, and even laugh out loud if possible. i.e. to join in with the rest of the human race in the most common and enjoyable means of communication available to the rest of us. Surely, this is a worthwhile aim. It is possible that I will fail in this effort, but I shall give it everything I've got, and I shall try.

If I can, within my proposed budget, use my engineering skills to get this concept into a prototype product, then I am certain that there will be no end of companies keen to pick it up and run with it and develop it into a commercial product for the NHS to use and issue to sufferers.

I can start my work as soon as I receive just a modest part of the necessary budget funding, and the fund can grow with time to keep the project running and to achieve our aims.

Success would be amazing for so many disabled people. Let's try together.
