History
Hi, my name is Noelle Lipscomb, co-owner of Full Life Journey Farm in Reva, VA, located in Madison County, near Shenandoah National Park. On the farm is a cottage that was destroyed by a fire, which we would like to rebuild. My family and I named it the Bailey Cottage in honor of my mother, who lost her battle with lung cancer a little over 15 years ago. She spent over 30 years as a teacher at Isaac E Young Middle School in New Rochelle, NY, pouring into the lives of her students. Like many other teachers, she worked tirelessly year after year to support her student's development. Her effort and impact showed me the vital role of teachers.
Vision
The vision of Full Life Journey Farm is to curate experiences that support a pathway to a full life. Our hope is for the Bailey Cottage to be a sanctuary where current or former teachers can enjoy a weekend getaway in the peaceful rolling hills of rural Virginia surrounded by beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Many projects are underway as we move forward with our long-term vision for the farm, and we like to say we're moving at the speed of cash. For the various roles that educators play, we believe they are not appropriately compensated; therefore, we decided to start the Go-Fund Me, hoping to expedite the buildout of the Bailey Cottage. Donations will be utilized to build a 2-bedroom/1-bath cottage and for the general maintenance of the farm/campground, such as maintaining a picturesque landscape and caring for the resident goats, chickens and cows that enhance the idyllic farm setting. Once the cottage is constructed, future donations will also be utilized to subsidize teacher stays. Donations can be made as follows:

We ask that you join us in providing our educators with some respite from the mental and emotional burden that comes with their role in shaping our future through our children's lives. In the words of the African proverb, it takes a village to raise a child. So we invite you to be a part of our village here at Full Life Journey Farm as we develop it into the premier destination of Madison County, VA. On the farm, we live by our family motto, "Life is not a destination, but a journey. Enjoy the journey!"
The Farm and Campground
The farm and campground are about an hour and a half southwest of Washington, DC, and 45 minutes north of Charlottesville, Va. It is 42+ acres of rolling hills with two natural-fed ponds. We had a plan to build our home on the farm and renovate the existing farmhouse; however, once we spent time on the land and recognized its beauty, we decided it was too good to keep to ourselves. In the last year and a half, we’ve made lots of progress bringing the historic farmhouse, built in the mid 1800's, back to life and laying the groundwork for our vision of creating a farm/campground with event space and lodging for all to enjoy.
Our journey, our legacy
The purpose of Full Life Journey Farm is not just about creating a place to go but about curating experiences based upon our six principles of faith, family, finances, fitness, food and fun. Faith keeps us grounded; family is our why; finances provide us access; fitness carries us along; food sustains us and gives us pleasure; and, fun is the whole point. Through our journey, we hope to leave a legacy that reminds others that a full life requires a connection to a broader community that enriches one another's lives.
