Want to join us in making a difference? We are raising money to benefit Garyah Valley Academy (GVA), a K-6th grade school, any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause which impacts many families in our town.

GVA was created to help feed and educate children in Garyah Town, a small underdeveloped Liberian town comprised of mostly land caretakers with little means to support their families. The children of these caretakers don't have access to proper nutrition or schooling, some are in their teens and have never been to school.

In 2017, we formed a makeshift school out of bamboo mats which now accommodates about 100 local children with 13 teachers and staff, tuition-free. The community (including parents and students!) played a significant role in constructing the mat classrooms and many stayed involved as teaching staff, cooks and custodians.

However, as GVA continues to expand, our students need a safe and durable space to continue their learning. This fundraiser supports the construction of a school building with running water, indoor bathrooms, multipurpose rooms, a science lab, a library and even a teacher's lounge.
