Hi, my name is Shawnene. I own 157 acres in a small community called Yahk, BC. I'm raising this money to help cover some of the cost of a new bridge so I can access all my property on both sides of the Moyie River. The old bridge, probably 75 years old or older, had slowly started to crumble and become unsafe to use for the last two years due to deterioration, especially after the heat dome last year. Without this bridge, my property is landlocked. That means there are 147 acres I can not access. I've spoken with countless organizations and financial institutions to seek help in funding this bridge. All have said they don't have funding for bridges. As well, Insurance will not cover it either. I've sold and cashed in what I can but am still short. So a friend told me to try Go Fund Me.

Another reason this bridge is so essential is that I'm trying to start an adventure park called Grizzly Mountain Adventure Park. This park would mean awesome fun for the whole family. Rides will consist of Extreme tubing hill, Mountain Coasters, Zipline, Lazy river and much more.

However, without this bridge, it can't happen.
