We are putting everything we have into opening a fiber mill on our farm with some of the historic equipment that we saved from the landfill, thanks to the generosity of the development company who purchased the mill after Jaggerspun went out of business.
We are fundraising to build a new textile mill facility on our farm, so that we can assemble the equipment and give it a new life making yarn out of locally and regionally produced fibers -- fiber grown on our farm Gealach Fola Acres, and eventually, fiber from other farmers.
We plan on making our own yarn lines, as well as doing custom processing for other fiber producers. We want to provide fairer prices to local farmers than the national wool pool price is set at -- farmers work hard and deserve better. Fiber artists should have better access to high quality fibers and yarns made 100% in America.
Many people have asked us for a way to support our endeavor, so we created this to give everyone who wants to help a way to do so. Thank you for taking the time to hear our story.
