Protect and Preserve Buhl Park

Some of you may have seen the heartbreaking events that have transpired the last couple of weeks regarding vandalism throughout the Park. Restrooms have been defaced, benches, tables and trash cans have been overturned, and some ended up in Lake Julia. The latest incident occurred at our beloved all-inclusive playground with graffiti on the equipment and the rubber flooring. For most, this is one of the many playgrounds around the area. But for some, this is the only one.

Now more than ever, it's apparent that we are in dire need of additional camera surveillance in even more areas throughout the Park. We take pride in providing a welcoming environment and a haven for all that visit.

Our Park was the grandest gift our valley was given, with little expected in return. It needs to be protected, cared for, and treated with the respect it has shown our community for over 100 years. There is a significant expense with this project, but the cost of feeling safe is priceless.
