Buffalo Irish Festival 2022

The Buffalo Irish Festival  needs your help! Make a donation today to save this beloved Western New York tradition.

After a two-year hiatus and now under new management, plans are in place for this year's festival to take place July 29-31, 2022 at Buffalo's Outer Harbor. But help is needed from the community to get us to the finish line.

The not-for-profit Irish Cultural & Folk Arts Association of WNY Inc. (ICFAA) and the Gaelic American Athletic Association of Buffalo NY Inc. (GAAA) have taken ownership of the festival and have been working feverishly for more than a year to bring it back, bigger and better than ever! Now run by an all-volunteer group, all money raised for the Buffalo Irish Festival will be put into the event. After all expenses are paid, any remaining proceeds will be used to plan for future Buffalo Irish Festivals and/or other events managed by the ICFAA and GAAA to promote Irish culture and heritage in Western New York.

We have held several fundraisers at the Buffalo Irish Center and solicited donations from the Irish American community and local businesses. But we are falling short of the $150,000 goal we need to reach in order to stage this event. Every dollar of your support will go directly toward covering festival expenses, helping to pay for the venue, supplies, permits, security, entertainment fees, and other necessary costs. We need your help to create a culturally expansive showcase for all ages of Irish music, dance, sports, genealogy, language, historical displays, and a special presentation of the University at Buffalo’s James Joyce exhibit.
There are several ways you can help!
1. Send whatever you can and we will thank you from the bottom of our Celtic hearts.
2. Add your name to a “stone” on our Heritage Wall where it will become a permanent part of the Buffalo Irish Festival. (Sorry, this is not available to businesses or organizations, as we want to honor individual donors). We can paint a maximum of 25 letters (no art or special characters). For more information on purchasing a “stone” for $400 please email [email redacted].
3. Challenge your friends and family to match your donation!

4. “Like” us on Facebook @Buffalo Irish Festival  and follow us on Instagram @festivalbuffaloirish .
