After Hurricane Lowell

Hurricane Lowell devastated our small organic farm on Kauaʻi, destroying a total of 14 greenhouses, 1 nursery, major crop loss at both of our locations in Moloaʻa and Kīlauea.

For years, Buena Vista Gardens has grown food for Kauai and prior to the storm, supplied 14 small local businesses and stores. Now, after losing our crops and much of the infrastructure we depend on, we are facing months without farm income while still needing to keep our crew employed and begin rebuilding.

In order to keep this small scale organic farm going, we are asking for support and resources to continue to serve the people of Kauai. We realize so many are in need right now. Any and all help is greatly appreciated, we love you guys.

Funds will go towards urgent and immediate needs: keeping our crew employed while we have no income, labor, tree work, infrastructure (greenhouses, irrigation, nursery, materials), basic business expenses.
