Buddy ❤️

Hi everyone!
As a lot of you know, our sweet Buddy/Zeus (new name) had to be rehomed to Scotland at the beginning of the year due to the ban coming into place, and our council housing manager not allowing him at the property even if exempted.
If you’ve been following our story for the past few days, we had been trying to find out where, and who he was with currently because we had heard nothing for weeks from his new owner. Pictures stopped, video calls stopped, updates stopped, everything stopped and we went into a panic.
We’ve since found out he’s been passed from pillar to post, and neglected along the way. He can’t put pressure on his back legs, he’s painfully thin and just all round not in good condition at the moment. There has even been allegations made of Buddy being fed on a diet of cat food and alcohol and that breaks all of our hearts to the core.
Finally, today (23/06/24), a wonderful girl rescued him for us, and has taken him into her care until his forever home is found, hopefully for good this time.
He’s since been seen by a vet, please see the “Updates” section for more details on that.
Any funds donated will go towards the vets who will be taking care of him, and to also help the girl with any food, toys, blankets etc she may need for Buddy while he is in her care. Please, anything, will go such a long way.
Thank you for reading ❤️
UPDATE : Hi everyone, just an update for you all. This may be a long one so please bear with me until the end! As you all know, a lovely girl let us know where Buddy was being held and she went and rescued him and took him into her home to keep him safe. She got him an appointment to see an emergency vet (full report still pending) but the gist was that he’d experienced trauma to his back left leg causing a vein to pop, this is as due to being hit with a lot of force by who he was with previously. He was also only a mere 43kg, that’s around half of what he should be for his size. Fast forward to a few weeks later, he was passing blood in his stool and urine. So another trip to the vets for Buddy and more medication. The young lady who’s been caring for him has been a god send. All of the funds so far raised on the GoFundMe has gone towards Buddys food to get him back to his expected weight I.e meats, goats milk, also his treats and dog biscuits, vet donations and medication and also getting him exempt and insured in Scotland. She has now decided to take him into her heart and her home forever, and is going to keep him safe with her for the rest of his life. So now, anything more raised on the GoFundMe and the raffles and games we upload to the pages will go towards getting Buddy neutered over in Scotland, and towards everything he may need to now kickstart his life in his forever home. He is happy and settled and that is ALL we wanted for him. If you made it this far, thank you so much to sticking with me and reading. Please, please share. Every little helps, even if it’s just £1.
