His heart is failing.

Ernesto "Buddy" Lopa needs an aortic valve replacement, an angiogram, and possible heart bypass surgery. These are not covered by his insurance.

We're raising funds so he can have the surgeries he needs as early as this month of May 2019. To save his life. Will you help?

His wife and only daughter need him. His relatives need him. His friends need him. Because he is a kind, loving, hard-working, honest, humble, jovial, positive, and helpful presence in the lives of the many he has touched.

Now, he needs our help to cover medical expenses that are beyond his ability to afford. Let us help because...

Buddy has severe aortic regurgitation caused by one of his aortic valves being retracted and perforated. The leak in his aortic valve is causing his left ventricular chamber to enlarge, hence, it can no longer pump oxygenated blood efficiently. Without urgent medical intervention and treatment, the result would be further heart failure which would be fatal. Yes, it's pretty serious.


What the doctor wants to do is replace his aortic valve before he suffers a heart attack, or another stroke. He has survived 1 stroke before, so there is an increased likelihood of having another stroke－not a matter of 'if' but 'when.' So time is of the essence here.
