Description: Buddy is my four-year-old bobtail cat and my constant companion. Recently, he was diagnosed with bladder stones. We've been treating him with antibiotics and prescription urinary tract food, but on his last visit, an X-ray showed that one of his stones had traveled into his urethra. While he isn't blocked at this time, he urgently needs a cystotomy surgery to prevent a life-threatening emergency.
I've visited several veterinary clinics to get quotes for this surgery, but the costs were overwhelming and far beyond my means. As a senior still working full-time just to get by in San Diego, I simply can't afford these prices. Thankfully, through word of mouth, I found a nonprofit low-cost surgery clinic called Anicira in Encinitas, CA. Their reviews are excellent, and I feel confident they are a great choice for Buddy. The clinic provided a much more affordable quote for the surgery and bloodwork, but it's still a significant amount for me. I even tried to apply for senior assistance at the local humane society, but I made just a bit too much last year to qualify.
Buddy has an evaluation appointment on 3/25/26, where I'll receive a written quote. These funds will go directly toward his surgery and medication, giving him the best chance at a healthy, happy life. Any support you can give means the world to us. Thank you for helping Buddy get the care he needs.
