Hi, my name is Rebecca and I am seeking help for my friend whose beloved dog, Buddy, requires surgery for a large lump on his right upper thigh.
Buddy is the center of my friend's world! She often calls him the 'Love of her Life'! Buddy was a rescue who had dealt with severely neglected skin issues that left some scarring that gives him stately white hairs around his face. As often happens, it turns out that animals save people just as much as people save animals. My friend is devoted to this very good boy and he returns her devotion.
Unfortunately my friend has been on hard times and is currently collecting Ontario Works. This means her finances are impossibly tight and this surgery is a major financial disaster for her. As you can imagine after the necessities there is NO extra money at the end of the month. EVERY month she sacrifices to make sure that Buddy has all of his needs met and is living his best possible life.
Buddy is an incredibly sweet and mannerly black lab/golden retriever mix. He is older but is still very active and full of life and (as long as the lump is removed) he has been given a clean bill of health and could live for several more precious years.
The estimate for the surgery is $2,500 + tax equalling $2,850. Other costs are also involved including the recent exam at $126 +tax, pre-anesthetic bloodwork costing $195 + tax, and some post surgery follow up.
I appreciate any contribution you are willing to make to assist with Buddy's surgery. Both he and his human would be grateful beyond words.
