Buddy Frank Holmes Medical and Recovery Expenses!

Frank's immediate family is asking for assistance from friends and family for current mounting medical bills as well as after care and household expenses as this will be an extremely long road to recovery. He is self employed and could  take an extremely long time to get back to work if that will even be possible. 

Frank's Story: On the early evening of Friday, July 28, 2023 Buddy/Frank Holmes was in a horrific single car accident returning from visiting a friend. He was ejected from his car and transported to MUSC/ICU where he remains in critical condition.  When his family could not reach him via phone by Saturday they knew he was missing and began searching for him and calling hospitals. It took until Sunday to find out he was admitted to the hospital as a John Doe.

 

Below are the updates since the accident. 

Injuries: Fractured neck, vertebrae and back with major brain injury and aneurysm at the stem of his brain. 

Update as of Wednesday 8/2/23 Stable but still in critical condition.  Has not awoken or opened his eyes as of today.

Update as of Friday 8/4/23 Doctors reported he is slowly moving in a positive direction but a very long recovery whatever that may look like. The nurse indicated he did try to move his left side on command. In addition, they will begin trying to wean him off of the breathing tube in hopes of getting him breathing on his own. He still has not opened his eyes, but you can tell he is trying with everything in him to communicate to no avail. He still has not opened his eyes.

Update as of Sunday 8/6/23  He is doing about the same. Has not opened his eyes. Still not moving left side much at all voluntarily. Someone did tickle his left foot and he moved it. He moves right side a little on command and tries to move head. He is definitely trying to let us know that he hears us and is fighting with all that he has!

Please pray for healing and recovery. He is a stubborn, hard headed fella for sure. His family does believe he is capable of pulling through especially with the power of prayer and positive thoughts.
